Daily Drink: Bouley's Brushstroke


Mixologist Gen Yamamoto of Bouley's Brushstroke (30 Hudson St. @ Duane St.) mixes us up a cocktail that will make you feel like it's still summer.  Their cocktail menu is forever changing, so you'll always be pleasantly surprised!  Brushstroke serves dinner, but stop by and have a drink at their bar for happy hour or dine and order from their a la carte menu.

Vine Ripened Tomatoes
Ingredients:
Medium Tomato
2 oz.  Rain Vodka
1/3 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
3 Teaspoons Tomato Confiture (crushed tomato, sea salt, sugar -- cooked on low flame for a few minutes)
Sea salt rim
Sprinkle of pepper

Daily Drink: Neely's Barbecue Parlour

Chris from Neely's Barbecue Parlour shows us how to make some refreshingly delicious cocktails to accompany their good ol' Southern BBQ.  While you're at it, check out their other drinks and extensive Bourbon list.

First, Chris shows us how to make the Screen Door...


The Screen Door!


Ingredients:



2 oz. Jack Daniel's Black Label
1 oz. Blackberry Brandy
2 slices of lime
2 fresh blackberries
3 fresh mint leaves
Finish with soda

And because our first drink was so delicious, we had to try the Spicy Passion



Spicy Passion!

Ingredients:
2 oz. Jalapeno Tequila
The juice of half of a fresh lemon
The juice of half of a fresh lime
1 oz. passion fruit puree
1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
Garnish with a fresh slice of jalapeno



And if two cocktails weren't enough,choose from some 0f the Neely's signature sangrias.  Each one is better than the next!
